Speaking to Ourselves Differently: The Gentle Revolution of Inner Dialogue

What if kindness toward oneself changed everything?

There is something I often hear from my clients, from women in general.

It is not their clothing choices that strike me most.
But the words they use to speak about themselves.
Hard words. Cutting. Sometimes even humiliating.
About their belly.
Their arms.
Their skin.
Their way of existing.

And each time, one question rises within me:
Who taught you to speak to yourself like that?
Was it your mother? Those around you?
A partner? A teacher?
Or was it the whole world, touch by touch, that led you to believe your body had to be corrected, contained, changed?

I, too, spoke to myself that way.

For a long time.
And sometimes without even realising it.
Every morning, I looked in the mirror for what was wrong.
I did not see what was alive, vibrant, capable.
I saw what had to be erased.

And this inner dialogue, I understood much later, was not neutral.
It shaped my posture. My energy. My way of loving.
It diminished me, within, before I could ever bloom without.

And then I changed the way I spoke to myself.

Not overnight.
But one day, I decided to make peace with my body.
To cherish it, even if it did not match what I had been taught to admire.
To listen to it. To thank it.

I did not turn myself into a fixed ideal.
I became my fluid version.
And my body thanked me.
With more gentleness. More vitality. More confidence.
And above all: with a feeling of deep accord with myself.

Celeste was conceived for this.

To envelop.
Not to conceal.
To reveal.
Not to correct.

You are enough.
And sometimes, it is enough simply to begin by whispering it to yourself,
until it becomes a truth that resounds aloud.

Creating with consciousness: clothing as a form of care

This path toward inner kindness changed something fundamental:
the way I create.

I no longer design clothes to “correct” bodies, nor to flatter a norm.
I create to accompany, to envelop, to honour.

Sizes beyond the standards, because women are not made to fit into a grid.
Soft fabrics, because skin deserves to be caressed, not compressed.
Vibrant colours, because clothing can be a mirror of our light, not a disguise.

I want every Celeste piece to be an invitation to speak to oneself with tenderness,
to offer oneself a kind gaze, to pay oneself one’s own compliments.
And then to let those of others reach us — not in order to exist through them,
but to receive them in resonance with what we already know of ourselves.

Today, I invite you to this gentle revolution:

To replace every inner criticism with a word of compassion.

To honour this body as a sacred place, and not a problem to be solved.

To observe the way you speak to yourself, as one would observe an old habit to be undone.

And to choose a new voice.

A loving voice.

Present.

Alive.

With all my heart
